Open Letter to Riverside County Democratic Party

Dear Riverside County Democratic Party:
This morning I received a fundraising Robocall on your behalf and I recognized the voice on the other end as one belonging to a good friend. I'm on all kinds of Do Not Call lists but none served to protect me from this morning's call. I listened to the entire message. It was little different from the letter I recently received from you concerning the same subject. And it sounded nearly identical to the half-dozen email messages I've received on the subject. Will your next effort be a YouTube video presentation on computer CD delivered by FedEx or UPS?
Your appeal is falling on deaf ears. You've not published and mailed any financial information indicating your plans for the money you hope to raise. Your past spending track record is one that produced more than raised eyebrows. All that money you wasted on billboards was stupid! Until you publish and send your proposed budget or spending plans indicating the funds you raise will be handled more wisely than has previously the case, what you're asking is that I contribute to a slush fund. Times are tough and you need to recognize those who seek contributions need to justify the purpose and detail all spending plans. Otherwise what you're doing is holding out a tin cup and expecting all who pass to fill it with change. That approach needs more thought.
Enough already! Stop! Cease! Desist! Riverside County Democratic Party - please, no more Robocalls. Do me a favor and take me off your fundraising list. Pretend I'm an Independent (or, if you must, a Libertarian).
Sincerely,
Bond Shands - Thrifty Democrat
Palm Springs, California
