The all male Log Cabin Republican Trustees are set to fly into Palm Springs for a September 25-27 weekend of fun-in-the-sun while the more acceptable elements of the party hold their California Republican Party Convention in nearby Indian Wells. The Trustees plan to lunch with GOP candidate for governor Tom Campbell, brunch with GOP candidate for 45th congressional district Mary Bono Mack, and greet that "Proudly Anti-Homosexual Republican" Drew Sweatte, who's seeking a seat on the Palm Springs city council. Among local gay dignitaries on hand to welcome them will be Cathedral City council member Chuck Vasquez who's also President of the county Log Cabin chapter.
Log Cabin Trustees are those who pony up $100+ monthly to support the LGBT extremity of the National Republican Party. Those gay party stalwarts (not many women in the Log Cabin club) have scheduled their "Palm Springs Fly-In" to coincide with the GOP state party convention in Indian Wells. According to their newsletter, they will, among other things, be "planning for the future of the party". Here's the published list of weekend plans.

The presumed highlight of the Trustee's gathering will be lunch and brunch speeches, from Candidate for CA Governor Tom Campbell and Candidate for 45th Congressional District Mary Bono Mack, at the Riviera Resort and Spa. Before, in between, and after the lunch and brunch festivities, these out-of-state types will need minding so a complete schedule of baby sitting functions is on tap to keep them corralled and occupied.

1:00 – Afternoon FREE – sun by the pool, shop at Gay Mart, cruise Palm Canyon, golf, tennis on property
9:00 – Log Cabin CA Party at the California Republican Party State Convention – Esmeralda Resort, Indian Wells. Greet hundreds of supportive Republicans as they stop by THE party of the convention.
Sunday, Sept 27th
11:00 AM – Brunch with Congressperson, Mary Bono Mack and the Riverside County / Palm Springs Log Cabin Chapter.
