Palm Springs Sales Tax Ordinance

Palm Springs, California.  During the July 20, 2011 city council meeting a new one percent (1%) sales tax ordinance was approved along with a resolution authorizing its placement on the November 8th election ballot. The following is a copy of the staff report discussing estimated revenues from the sales tax and possible uses to which the revenues could be applied.

The council reviewed the sales tax ordinance in the attached file during its meeting. It was modified to provide for the tax to expire after 25 years and then unanimously adopted. Click on the link below to view or download a copy.
